I'm writing this post from somewhere in the middle of October. I'd like to say something like, "Summer came and went--where did the time go?" But the truth is that summer felt long, and warm, and lovely this year, with lots of family adventures and the littlies growing fast like hobbits drinking Ent waters. The time away from here has been spent in worthy ways, and so I won't apologize for being absent so long. But I'm happy to be back, and to share our summer wonders in glimpses taken along the way.
Afternoons at Edmonds Marina Park:
Edmonds Fourth of July parade and Avi's new trike:
Barbecues on the beach at sunset:
A tea-party with the cousins, organized by none other than Matt.
A wedding date-night at JM Cellars, a gorgeous little winery in Woodinville.
Evening barbecues at Francis Anderson Park in Edmonds
A day-trip with friends to Fort Ebey, Whidbey Island. It felt like being inside the windswept cliff scene in Pride and Prejudice.
Saturday mornings at the Edmonds Farmer's Market for $5 flowers and hot mini donuts:
Hiking the Pinnacle Peak trail at Mt. Rainier:
Camping with friends at Gold Basin in the Snoqualmie National Forest
A lovely, full summer... and this was only the highlights.
