Our Christmas Album

It may be WAY late for this sort of thing, what with Valentines Day next week, but I had to share a little of our sweet Christmas with you. If nothing else, at least of the sake of historic continuity.

Avonlea gets ready for Christmas Eve service with Nana and Grandpa Roddy

Post-service snacks at Nana and Grandpa's house.

Auntie Heather plays Avo's favorite game: snuggle.

Opening Christmas PJs and reveling in new-found standing abilities (mom spots against head injury) :)

After opening gifts at our place with our little family of three, it was over to the Roddys for breakfast Christmas morning.

At midday, we headed over to my parents' house for the Christmas feast with all the aunts, uncles and cousins. I made Figgy Piggy Cornish Hens from Epicurious (thanks for the recipe, Maria), mashed potatoes, braised spinach, and peas. Somehow, the only photo op occured in my dad's cell phone.

The best gift Matt and I received Christmas Day was watching Avonlea's first steps! She walked during Christmas breakfast, and again later at my parents' house. We do have a video of this, but haven't been able to transfer it to the computer. As soon as we do, we'll share!
